Our Region
Our hotel is situated in the heart of a lush micro-region rich in numerous cool and pure streams stemming directly from our mountains and with numerous fine sand beaches as well, with the Pinia beach in Ghisonaccia considered to be the finest. A forest of maritime pines lines the shore, offering shaded areas, even from the full summer heat.In summer, on your return from the beach or for a day, think of making a stop to take advantage of the refreshing benefits of a bathing in a river in an environment completely protected from any type of pollution.
Take off for the discovery of still unspoiled places threading yourself through the wild grasses of the Corsican scrubland (heather, cistus, duckweed, holm oaks, sweet chestnut trees, strawberry trees, immortal) to reach crystalline waves, real natural swimming pools dug by water in granite walls. Take advantage of the occasion to sit at the feet of waterfalls present all around our region or even in natural shallow water baths to take advantage of real natural hydromassaging jets and enjoy a unique spa bath therapy in perfect harmony with nature.
All your senses come alive and are beckoned: the singing of birds, pure fresh air, scents of the scrubland, the magic landscapes just a few kilometres from the sea....
Several sites are worth seeing and are accessible by car from our establishment:
- The Ghisoni Valley and its Inzecca Parade
- The Fium'Orbu Valley towards the villages of San Gavinu, Prunelli, Isolacciu, Serra, Poghju and Loggu di Nazza
- The Travu Valley towards the village of Chisà
- The Solenzara Valley on the way towards Aiguilles de Bavella
Our micro-region offers a range of diverse and varied activities so that everyone can enjoy their favorite interests:
- Ground activities: hiking at the Mare a Mare or even the famous GR 20, horseback riding, biking, mountain biking...
- Aquatic activities: canyoning, rafting, fishing at sea or river (Note - depends upon regulation!), sailboat or motorboat rentals, water-skiing, jet-ski...
- Cultural activities: animations organized by the Anima cultural center in Migliacciaru all year round (Theater, Gatherings, Concerts), the Mnémosina museum in Prunelli di Fium' Orbu, Visit to the Domaine de Mavella on the Aleria Route (distillery), Outdoor Summer Cinema and the 'L' Excelsior' Cinema in Abbazzia in the winter
During summer, take advantage and attend a Corsican music concert in one of our numerous villages to live and understand the Corsican soul. The cultural and musical agenda of our micro-region is very complete, so don´t hesitate in asking the Ghisonaccia Tourist Office about any events.
- Gastronomy/Region: we micro-regions have numerous craftsmen and producers of Corsican products in the respect for the purest tradition, which you can particularly find on the Authentic Directions Route 'Costa Serena' (See the Ghisonaccia Tourist Office): cheese dairies, cellars and vineyards, delicatessen meats, fruits and vegetables (Clémentine Production in Winter), oyster farming...
Also, don´t hesitate to ask for the 'good tables' of the region: say that you´d like a traditional Corsican menu served in a village inn or even a restaurant, 'get your feet wet', our team will gladly assist you!
